Are you a visual artist?

We are still accepting submissions for Art, Roots & Riddim: A Caribbean Art Exhibition & Labor Day Celebration at Allure Art Academy! We’re seeking artwork (paintings, photography, mixed media) that celebrates Caribbean culture, identity, ancestry, and the beauty of the diaspora.

What to Expect:

Curated Art Exhibition

The exhibition will feature artists whose work reflects the beauty, energy, and cultural richness of the Caribbean. Through painting, photography, mixed media, sculpture, and other creative forms, the showcase will explore themes of island identity, ancestry, joy, memory, nature, celebration, and community. Each piece will help tell a larger story of Caribbean life, from its bold colors and landscapes to its traditions, people, and spirit.

Music, Movement & Cultural Expression

Music and dance are at the heart of Caribbean culture, and this event will create space for rhythm, movement, and celebration. Guests can expect an atmosphere filled with sounds and energy that reflect the joy, warmth, and vibrancy of the islands. These elements will help bring the artwork to life and create an immersive cultural experience throughout the evening.

A Fete 🥳

Guests will be invited to move through the space freely, engage with artists, enjoy music and dance and connect with one another in a welcoming environment. The goal is to create an afternoon that feels vibrant, meaningful, and rooted in the joy of Caribbean culture.
